Aston Martin has introduced the new and most powerful Vanquish yet…
After 6 years of waiting, the successor has arrived. For many people, when Aston Martin is mentioned, they think of V12 monsters under the hood, never mind that the V8 TwinTurbo can also match its performance… Honor and reputation are being defended!
The new, super-luxury GT car comes with a new 5.2-liter Twin Turbo V12 engine that develops a maximum of 824 hp, enough for a top speed of 350 km/h. Not many will be made, only 1,000 units per year at a price of approx. 400,000 EUR.
Just like the older DBS Superleggera, the V12 engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that is located at the rear for better weight distribution of the car. Power goes to the ground via the rear axle and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The performance is worthy of the name, so it reaches 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds!!
Just like most new Astons, it comes with an all-aluminum shell, while the panels and other body elements are made of carbon-based composite materials (Carbon). Thanks to all this, the new Vanquish V12 weighs ‘only’ 1,774kg. It comes standard with forged aluminum rims and carbon-ceramic brakes. The German Bilstein DTX is responsible for the suspension components, and in addition to numerous active safety systems, we would like to highlight “Corner Braking”. As its name suggests, it helps the car stabilize the rear end when entering corners quickly to prevent understeer.
