If Huawei phones are known to be of really good quality, the same is now expected from the car that is already ready. The model, called the Luxeed S7, will compete with large electric sedans like the BMW i5 or the Tesla Model S. The car was jointly developed by tech giant Huawei and Chinese carmaker Chery and is nearly five meters (497 cm) long.

The design is expectedly modern, adapted to the latest fashion of electric cars. The same goes for the interior, which is an example of minimalism with two screens and the absence of function buttons.

Important, from a technological point of view, is the HarmonyOS operating system, which is the same as in smartphones or tablets from the Chinese brand. It is responsible for managing the multimedia system and connectivity.

Another technological aspect is autonomous driving, which is due to Huawei’s complex ADS 2.0 system, which integrates 11 high-resolution cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars and a LiDAR sensor. There is also artificial intelligence.

The offer consists of two versions, one with rear-wheel drive with 215 kW (288 hp) and the other with all-wheel drive that develops 365 kW (489 hp) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. With a weaker variant, a range of up to 800 km is mentioned, and the batteries are a product of the Chinese CATL.

With a price of 33,000 euros in China, this model is at the level of the smaller Tesla Model 3, which is another big advantage of Luxeed or Huawei.
